How to Add a Web Page Shortcut Icon to Your IPhone Home Screen
The Home Screen on the IPhone is made up of Shortcut Icons to your applications. It is possible to create a shortcut on your desktop to your favourite website so it is easily accessed.
Adding a Shortcut
1. Open Safari and browse to your favourite web site. Click on the + button at the bottom of the browser window.
2. Select the Add to Home Screen button.
3. The IPhone will attempt to fill in the screen that follows for you from the title of the web site. However, you can type in whatever name you want here. Click the Add button at the top right of the screen.
4. The shortcut icon will be added to your home screen.
5. If this is your own web site, you will probably see a small image of your web page rather than a nifty icon. To create a special icon for your website you need to create an 57px x 57px image. Do not worry about making rounded corners as the IPhone will do that automatically for you.
6. Save this image in your root folder as apple-touch-icon.png. This image will now be the default icon for your whole web site. If you are unable to save to your root folder, wish to put your image in another folder or wish to name the image something else you may link to your icon in the head section of the webpage like this:

Now when you save the web page to the home screen, your new icon will be displayed.

I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is needed to get set up? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not 100% certain. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

There are lots of free options which allow you to create blogs such as blogger.com. It does not have to be complicated. Good luck!
